Not long ago, the Simpson's Movie came on TV and my DH watched a bit of it. My oldest son happened to watch the Spider Pig scene and has since then, regaled us with his lovely version of the song. We hear it a lot, and it is indeed quite funny every time.
This morning, while I was bathing my boys, DS and I engaged in quite an interestingly funny conversation. It went a little something like this :
DS: "I went fishing today."
Me: "Oh you did. With who?"
"With my spider pig."
"Your spider pig? Where did you take him?"
"To my ranch."
"Did you catch anything?"
"Yeah."
"Did your spider pig catch any fish?"
"My spider pig catched a big fish. It looked like my daddy."
"He caught a fish that looked like Daddy?"
"Yeah. It was a big fish!" Indicates how big with hands, which wasn't very big at all, but hey, he's 3, and seemed to be quite excited about his story.
"Wow, that is a big fish! Did you keep the fish?"
"No. Spider pig ate him."
"Oh no. He ate the fish that looked like Daddy?"
Then he giggled loudly and changed the subject. Silly boy! It's amazing what kids come up with.
